Vintage photography apps Hipstamatic and Instagram are about to unveil a partnership which will take photo capturing and sharing to the next level. With just one click, photos taken on Hipstamatic can now be directly ported into Instagram.

Previously, Instagram users could only push photos onto social networking websites and could not push photos into Instagram from other third parties. This is the first time Instagram has allowed outside parties into their network, and shows just how much there is to gain from social networks.

Hipstamatic gives users a range of lenses, films and flashes to choose from, so that you can create a snapshot feel photo. Additional camera gear can be acquired by making in-app purchases.

All photos taken on Hipstamatic and then ported to Instagram will appear with the attribution: 'Taken with Hipstamatic'.

A highly beneficial partnership, Instagram will get access to Hipstamatic's top-notch content creators, and Hipstamatic will receive a huge amount of promotion.

Instagram is available for download from the Apple App Store for free, while Hipstamatic costs $1.99.
