Skype 4.0 for Linux now available

Skype has finally released the version 4.0 of its client for Linux. This version is bringing the Skype version for the OS at par with the other operating system clients. Codenamed 'Four Rooms for Improvements', this release include latest Skype features and UI changes.

New Conversations view is one of the main features to debut in this version; it allows users to track all their chats in one unified window. Users can also disable this view if they don't want it.

Company has noted that the first start is going to take some time depending upon users' chat history, however the subsequent starts will be much quicker.
