Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat on Monday launched an Android app for the annual Badrinath pilgrimage.

Known as Shubh Badrinath Yatra, the application was made by the district administration of Chamoli, and provides information of the pilgrimage between Joshimath and Badrinath.

It is currently listed on Google Play, with the app description: "This app is designed to provide you all the necessary and useful information of Joshimath-Badrinath yatra route to make your visit pleasant, safe, happy and comfortable. This app will introduce you to the traditional pahadi cuisine and all the updates directly from Sri Badrinath ji."
