When the 19-year-old Bob Dylan (Timothée Chalamet) arrived in New York City in 1961 to seek his ailing musical hero, he was warmly embraced by the New York folk scene who recognised his talent. Following some downtown gigs, he soon lands a contract with Columbia Pictures.
