About Black Lightning Season 1 TV Series
Jefferson Pierce (Cress Williams) is a high school principal who retired from his superhero identity Black Lightning after seeing the title's after-effects on his family.
Jefferson is forced to become a hero again and possess the ability to sense and harness electricity, when The 100, a local gang, gives rise to increased crime and corruption and becomes a threat to his community of Freeland.
