About Paris, 13th District Movie (2022)

Émilie (Lucie Zhang) from Paris’s 13th district has just put out an ad for a new roommate, to which a young teacher called Camille (Makita Samba) has responded.  Presuming him to be a woman based on his name, she first agrees and then re-buffs.

In a different story arc, a student called Nora (Noémie Merlant) is mistaken for a cam girl called Amber Sweet (Jehnny Beth) — making her a subject of disgust in her high school.

As the lives of these four intersect, an interwoven string of friendships, sexual tensions, and flings unfold — with the confused protagonists swinging freely between the roles of friends and lovers left, right, and centre.
