About Secret Superstar Movie (2017)

Secret Superstar is a 2017 Bollywood musical-drama film that revolves around a young girl who dreams to become a singer, but her father is not supportive of her dreams which leads her to upload her video on YouTube by wearing a niqab.

Secret Superstar is the story of Insia Malik (Zaira Wasim) who lives in Baroda with her mother Najma (Meher Vij), father Farookh (Raj Arjun) and younger brother Guddu (Kabir Sajid). She aspires to become a singer, but her father is against it while her mother and brother are in full support. To support Insia, her mother purchases a laptop for her by selling her necklace so that Insia can upload her singing videos on YouTube. When her father finds out, he not only destroys her laptop but also beats up her mother. On uploading the videos, she becomes a sensational star which brings her to Shakti Kumar?s (Aamir Khan) attention, who then helps her build her musical career.
