Gurgaon Police's summer internship 2014 will be led by senior police officers with assistance of seasoned industry professionals experienced in IT, fraud forensics and banking technology.
"For the 2014 summer internship programme, we have selected 36 students from various disciplines," a senior police officer said.
The students are from institutes in Gurgaon, Faridabad, Mumbai, Allahabad, Jammu, Jodhpur, Bhubaneswar, Dehradun, Pune, Aligarh and Rohtak.
The 45-day programme will include projects, case studies, and interaction with experts on cyber-security, cybercrime, cyber-law and intermediaries like banks, mobile companies and ecommerce companies.
The project is coordinated by cyber-security expert Rakshit Tandon under supervision of Police Commissioner Alok Mittal.
The candidates will be certified by Gurgaon police after successful submission of their project report.
The 2013 internship programme had 22 candidates.
