HP Launches New Pavilion Convertibles, Notebooks, and Desktops

HP on Tuesday unveiled a new range of Pavilion series convertibles, notebooks, and desktops. Under the new Pavilion range, HP revealed new Pavilion x360 convertibles, three new Pavilion range of notebooks, all-new Pavilion All-in-Ones, and HP Pavilion desktop.

The new 15.6-inch HP Pavilion x360 will go on sale via the company's site starting May 25 and will start at $579.99. The new 15.6-inch HP Pavilion x360 joins the already existing 11.6-inch HP Pavilion x360 that has now been refreshed, is priced at $379.99, and will be available starting May 15. The 13.3-inch HP Pavilion x360 will go on sale from May 29 and will come at $479.99.

HP also revealed the new 14-inch Pavilion notebook which will be available at select retailers starting June 12 and will come at a starting price at $539.99, and the 15.6-inch HP Pavilion notebook will go on sale starting May 18 and will come at a starting price at $599.99. Lastly, the 17.3-inch HP Power Pavilion notebook will be going on sale from May 18 with a starting price at $899.99.

In All-in-Ones, HP will launch the 23.8-inch Pavilion AIO at a starting price of $699.99 and will go on sale from July 10. The 27-inch HP Pavilion AIO will be available from July 3 and features a starting price of $999.99.

The HP Pavilion Desktop is expected to go on sale from June 29 with a starting price of $449.99. HP says that all the new Pavilion range of products will be also going on sale from other retailers but will have slightly different release dates and pricing.

Commenting on the launch, Kevin Frost, Vice President and General Manager, Consumer Personal Systems, HP said, "Some customers want thin and light PCs for on the go while other customers want power and performance to create and store. HP's redesigned Pavilion PCs offer affordability and a variety of options for customers to get the functionality they need in a PC packed with style and personality."

The highlight of the Pavilion range is the new HP Pavilion x360 convertible laptops which are said to be 12 to 14 percent thinner with lighter designs compared to the previous generations. The Pavilion x360s models will be available in Natural Silver, Modern Gold, Dragonfly Blue, Cardinal Red and Sport Purple colours.

Some of the highlights of the new HP Pavilion x360s models are that they can offer up to nine hours of battery life; there is HD display or option for full-HD IPS displays on the 13.3-inch and 15.6-inch models; they come with up to 16GB of RAM, and up to 512GB SSD with the option for hard drive storage up to 1TB (depending on model). The models come in choice of the latest Intel Celeron, Intel Pentium or up to sixth generation Intel Core i7 processors. The models also come with a full-size keyboard with optional backlit keyboard on 13.3-inch and 15.6-inch diagonal versions.

The new 14-inch and 15.6-inch notebook Pavilion notebooks are 11 to 22 percent thinner and lighter compared to the previous generation. The new models will be available in Natural Silver, Modern Gold, Blizzard White, Onyx Black, Cardinal Red, Dragonfly Blue and Sport Purple colours.

Some of the highlights of the new Pavilion notebooks are they come with option of up to sixth generation Intel Core i7 processor options with optional Nvidia GeForce GTX 940MX or GTX 950M or GTX 960M graphics. They will be also available with seventh generation AMD A12-9700P quad-core processor with optional Radeon R7 graphics on select models. The models come with 16GB of RAM, and up to 512GB SSD or up to 2TB for single storage options or dual storage options with up to 2TB HDD and 128GB SSD on select models.

HP says that the optical disk drive option will be available to select Pavilion models. All the models will come with HD or full-HD IPS displays with optional touch variants.

Coming to the HP Pavilion All-in-Ones, the new 23.8-inch and 27-inch come with an edge-to-edge display which can tilt from 0 to 25 degrees or a micro edge display which can tilt from -5 degrees to 25 degrees

HP says that the AIOs will be available in IPS display in full-HD and Quad HD options with optional touch and two front firing speakers which are custom-tuned by B&O PLAY. The company adds that select models will offer an HP Privacy Camera that will only pop up via a spring mechanism when in use and can be pressed in to disable both the camera and microphone as a privacy safeguard. It will be available with Intel Pentium option or up to sixth generation Intel Core i7 processor options. It will be available with 1TB with options up to 3TB for storing photos, files, games, and movies. It comes with 16GB of RAM and optional Intel RealSense Camera on select models for enhanced security through face authentication with Windows Hello.

The new HP Pavilion Desktop will be available in Natural Silver, Blizzard White and Twinkle Black colours. It comes in Intel Celeron up to sixth generation Intel Core i7 processor options with optional Nvidia graphics card. It comes with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 3TB of storage. The device comes with optical disk drive. HP adds that the Pavilion Desktop supports up to two displays and supports all the ports customers need for peripherals.
