Alcatel One Touch Flash With 1.4GHz Octa-Core SoC Launched at Rs. 9,999

Alcatel on Thursday launched its selfie-focused smartphone in India, the Alcatel One Touch Flash, at Rs. 9,999. It will be available via company's online e-commerce partner Flipkart from Friday.

Featuring a 5-megapixel front facing camera, the smartphone was launched in Thailand in September as Alcatel One Touch Flash (6042D).

The Alcatel One Touch Flash features dual-SIM support and runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat out-of-the-box. It features a 5.5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) IPS display, and runs on an octa-core 1.4GHz MediaTek MTK6592M processor coupled with 1GB of RAM.

Along with the 5-megapixel front-facing camera, the One Touch Flash boasts of a 13-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash. The 8GB internal storage on tje One Touch Flash can be expanded via microSD card (up to 32GB).

Connectivity options on the Alcatel One Touch Flash include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPRS/ EDGE, GPS and 3G. The battery on the device is 3200mAh. The smartphone weighs 150 grams and will be available in two colour options - Crystal White, and Gun Grey.

Alcatel has also announced a 'Selfie Contest' in which the top 20 contestants everyday can win Rs. 1,000 off on the purchase price. The grand prize winner will get the ultimate selfie prize - a full photo-shoot makeover that will be featured in one of the most recognized lifestyle magazines, says the company.
