Blu, a US-based smartphone maker, has entered the Indian market with the launch of two Windows Phone 8.1 smartphones, the Blu Win JR LTE (seen below) and the Blu Win HD LTE (seen above). The budget smartphones for now are available to purchase from Snapdeal, an Indian e-commerce portal, and are priced at Rs. 5,999 and Rs. 7,999 respectively.
The budget offerings by Blu largely feature similar set of specifications except the camera setup, display size, resolution, and battery. As the names suggest, both handsets come with 4G LTE support. Also, since the handsets run Windows Phone 8.1, they both also qualify for Windows 10 Mobile upgrade.
Some of the common specifications shared by Blu Win JR LTE and Blu Win HD LTE are dual-SIM (Micro-SIM) support, quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor clocked at 1.2GHz, Adreno 306 GPU, and an 8GB of inbuilt storage, which can be further expanded via microSD card (up to 32GB). The connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.0, FM radio, 3G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, and Wi-Fi Hotspot. Accelerometer, proximity sensor, and gyroscope are also housed in the budget Windows Phone smartphone. The Blu Win HD LTE additionally comes with a compass.
As for the differences, the Blu Win JR LTE features a 4.5-inch FWVGA (854x480 pixels) IPS resolution, which is rated to give a pixel density of 218ppi. The budget smartphone featuring 1GB of RAM houses 5-megapixel autofocus rear camera and a VGA resolution (0.3-megapixels) front-facing camera. It is backed by a 2000mAh battery, which is rated to deliver up to 16 hours of talk time and up to 725 hours of standby time in 3G.

The Blu Win HD LTE features a 5-inch HD (1280x720 pixels) IPS resolution, which is rated to give a pixel density of 294ppi. The budget smartphone featuring 1GB of RAM houses an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixels front-facing camera. It is backed by a 2500mAh battery, which is rated to deliver up to 20 hours of talk time and up to 775 hours of standby time in 3G.
