Interestingly, according to Samsung, the Galaxy Note 3 took two months to reach this milestone mark, while Samsung Galaxy Note II took four months, and the original Galaxy Note took nine months to reach the 10 million mark.
Notably, the figures shared by Samsung include the number of units shipped to retail channels, various mobile carriers and mobile distributers across the globe, and not the number of units sold to consumers. Despite the Galaxy Note 3 reaching the 10 million mark in two months, the company's flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S4, is still the fastest shipping Galaxy smartphone, reaching the 10 million mark in just one month.
The South Korean major officially unveiled the Galaxy Note 3 phablet at the sidelines of IFA 2013 in Berlin, while Samsung launched the Galaxy Note 3 a month later in India at Rs. 49,900.
Samsung confirmed the news via its Samsung Tomorrow site and also notes that the Galaxy Note 3 was launched in over 50 countries, and is most popular in countries like China, Japan, South Korea and Southeast Asian countries.
In addition, the South Korean manufacturer has also shared an infographic dubbed '10 million seller club' which includes all popular phones from Samsung that have touched the 10 million mark. Some of the smartphones in the infographic include the Galaxy S which was launched in the year 2010; Galaxy Note launched in 2011; Galaxy S II also launched in 2011; Galaxy S III, the 2012 flagship smartphone; Galaxy Note II launched in 2012; Galaxy S4 the 2013 flagship smartphone and the Galaxy Note 3.
The infographic also includes the dated Samsung GT-S5230 Star which was launched in 2009.
