Intex Aqua Curve with 5-inch qHD display, Android 4.2 launched at Rs. 12,490

Intex has launched its latest smartphone for the Indian market, the Aqua Curve at Rs. 12,490. The Intex Aqua Curve was listed recently on the company's official site without pricing.

The Intex Aqua Curve runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, which also powers most of the handsets in the market. Along with dual-SIM support, the smartphone also features a 5-inch qHD (540x960 pixels) OGS (One Glass Solution) based curved display.

The smartphone is powered by a quad-core MediaTek (MT6582) processor clocked at 1.3GHz, paired with a Mali 400 GPU and 1GB of RAM. The Aqua Curve smartphone sports an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera with flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera.

The Intex Aqua Curve comes with 4GB of inbuilt storage, which can be further expandable up to 32GB via microSD card. The smartphone supports 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB and GPS connectivity options.

The Intex Aqua Curve is backed up by a 2,000mAh battery capacity and comes in three colour variants - Black, Blue and Red. The smartphone also includes the Shake Screenshot feature which allows users to take screenshots by shaking the phone.

Commenting on the launch Sanjay Kumar Kalirona, Business Head- Mobile Division at Intex said, "Aqua Curve is a smartphone for next generation mobile phone users who like to make their own style statement and prefer to stay connected, while on the go. This phone is perfect blend of style and technology."

Keshav Bansal, Director- Marketing at Intex said on the announcement, "We are constantly innovating to offer our consumers technology that is reasonable in terms of affordability, sturdy in terms of its robust hardware configurations and advanced in terms of its ability to multitask and connect users seamlessly."
