iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus Leather and Silicon Cases Listed on Apple Store

Apple, besides unveiling the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, on Tuesday also listed two types of protective cases for the new smartphones on the Apple Store.

Both iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus come with choices of official leather or a silicone protective cover case. Notably, while the two accessories are listed on the India version of the Apple Store, no pricing has yet been provided - the two phones are expected to launch in India on October 17, as seen on the store.

US pricing is available however, giving us some indication of the prices of the cases when they arrive in India. While the leather and silicone cases for iPhone 6 cost $45 (roughly Rs. 2,700) and $35 (roughly Rs. 2,100) respectively, the iPhone 6 Plus's leather and silicone cases are priced at $49 (roughly Rs. 3,000) and $39 (roughly Rs. 2,400) respectively. Notably, all the cover cases displayed on the Apple Store website are currently unavailable to buy.

The leather cover cases for both the Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus models come in Black, Red, Midnight Blue, Olive Brown, and Soft Pink colour variants. The silicone cases for the handsets will be available in Black, White, Pink, Blue, Green, and Red colours.

Apple says the leather cases for both iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus feature a high-quality aniline dye and a microfibre interior with matching colours. The microfibre interior is also present in the silicone cases.

The leather and silicon protective cases for both the iPhone 6 models cover the handsets from top and sides, but not from the bottom, giving users easy access to charging ports.

Apple at its keynote event also took the wraps off its smartwatch. The Apple Watch comes in two sizes and an array of choices of interchangeable, fashionable wrist straps. Apple Watch (Review) will start at $349 (roughly Rs. 21,300) when it is released early next year and will work with iPhone 5 models and newer.
