LG has launched what could be considered the fourth variant of its G3 flagship smartphone, the LG G3 (D858) - which features dual-SIM support. The LG G3 (D858) has been priced at CNY 3,999 (roughly Rs. 39,700) and is available in Titanium Black and Moonlight White colour variants. There are no details for the handset's global availability.

The LG G3 (D858) Dual-SIM device features 4G TD-LTE connectivity along with the Dual Active support, which lets users make calls or use Internet data on either of the SIM cards together.

According to Eprice, the LG G3 (D858)'s specifications match those of global variant of the LG G3, with a 5.5-inch QHD (1440x2560 pixels) AH-IPS display, 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, and 3GB of RAM.

Running Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box, the LG G3 (D858) Dual-SIM smartphone features 32GB of inbuilt storage alongside a 13-megapixel camera that can record videos in 4K resolution.

The LG G3 was launched in India in July at Rs. 47,990. The last variant that LG introduced was the LG G3 A with LTE-A support. The LG G3 A supports Korea's LTE-A band similar to the recently launched Samsung Galaxy S5 LTE-A. The latter is identical to the G3, except that it features a Snapdragon 805 SoC instead.

LG also seems set to introduce the LG G3 Stylus, the fifth variant of the smartphone, in the third quarter. The variant is said to be a phablet-variant of the LG G3, and be a mid-range offering with a 5.7-inch screen with a stylus pen.

The South Korean giant on Monday reportedly confirmed that it is planning to introduce a safer bootloader unlocking feature for developers - along with a specific server to its future smartphones. The company is internally discussing 'target' models, and the timeline to roll-out the bootloader unlock feature.
