OnePlus has started rolling-out a custom CyanogenMod firmware update for its flagship smartphone, the One, that also brings the latest Android 4.4.4 KitKat OS.

The company announced the news on its official blog post and clearly noted that the full deployment of the new update can be expected by end of the week. The company said, "Guys and gals, we are happy to announce that the much anticipated CM 11S OTA (30O) has begun rolling out today, with full deployment to be expected by the end of the week."

In addition to being based on Android 4.4.4 KitKat, the CM 11S OTA (30O) update also brings features such as bug fixes; new Clear Image camera mode; cooler calibration for the display, and fixes for eliminating accidental activation of off-screen gestures while the handset is still the user's pocket.

The company is touting that the Clear Image camera feature can stitch up to 10 individual images together for final 'super high-resolution' image. The blog post detailing Clear Image said, "Through interlacing and compression algorithms, the camera improves clarity, reduces noise in low light, and adds detail that other cameras cannot. But this is not all. Unlike other photo stitching software, Clear Image minimizes file sizes while maximizing for quality."

The company has also revealed a comprehensive changelog of the update which includes new versions of Google apps; capacitive touch keys supported in recovery mode; increased capacitive button illumination; improved overall stability; fixed issues with vibration being disabled during Quiet Hours; fixed lockscreen not updating the track information during music playback; fixed microphone volume for all formats in the voice recorder app; "OK, Google" not triggering voice search in Google Now is now fixed; fixed calls through Viber; fixed battery percent not updating in custom lock screens; fixed PicasaSync; fixed camera "O" gesture activating lock screen instead of triggering camera, and fixed wallpapers not applying in full screen, taking the wrong size when cropping.

The OnePlus One was launched in April and started shipping to users in June. The biggest new feature being touted on the OnePlus One is that it runs CyanogenMod 11S, with the 'S' signifying the customisation for the One smartphone.
