Moto G7 Power Price in India Reported Ahead of Formal Launch

Moto G7 Power was unveiled alongside other Moto G7 models last week

Moto G7 Power price in India has been revealed just days after it went official in Brazil. The smartphone, which comes as an affordable offering in the Moto G7 family, is said to be available in the country exclusively in the Ceramic Black colour option. The retail price of the Moto G7 Power is reportedly set at Rs. 15,999 (MRP) in the Indian market. This is slightly higher than the US price that comes at $249 (roughly Rs. 17,600). However, the Moto G7 Power is said to be available through offline retail stores at Rs. 14,500.

Mumbai-based retailer Mahesh Telecom has tweeted the India pricing of the Moto G7 Power. The retailer also mentioned that there will be only the Ceramic Black colour option of the Moto G7 Power for Indian customers. We've reached out to confirm availability.

We've also reached out to Motorola India to get clarity on the launch of the Moto G7 Power and were told the company has yet to officially announce the product for the Indian market.

To recall, Motorola unveiled the Moto G7 Power alongside the Moto G7, Moto G7 Plus, and Moto G7 Play last week. While the Lenovo-owned company didn't reveal any India-specific launch schedule for its other Moto G7 models, it did highlight that the Moto G7 Power will roll out in India "over the coming weeks".

Moto G7 Power specifications

The dual-SIM (Nano) Moto G7 Power runs Android 9 Pie and features a 6.2-inch HD+ (720x1570 pixels) LTPS LCD panel along with a 19:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone has a Moto Display feature that is designed to offer notifications at a glance. Also, its display panel is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

Under the hood, there is an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 SoC, coupled by 3GB of RAM and Adreno 506 GPU. The smartphone also has 32GB of internal storage that is expandable via microSD card (up to 512GB).

The Moto G7 Power sports a 12-megapixel camera sensor at the back, along with an f/2.0 lens. For selfies, there is an 8-megapixel camera sensor at the front, paired with an f/2.2 lens.

In terms of connectivity, the Moto G7 Power has 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Sensors onboard include an accelerometer, ambient light, magnetometer, and proximity sensor. There is also a fingerprint sensor at the back. Besides, the smartphone packs a 5,000mAh battery that supports 15W TurboPower fast charging technology.
