Highlights
  • Both RAM/ storage variants of the OnePlus 5T are out of stock
  • No update on when the phone will be back in stock
  • OnePlus 6 is nearing launch

OnePlus 6 launch event is expected in a few weeks, what with the company posting teasers and confirming features every other day. And now, OnePlus 5T - the current OnePlus flagship smartphone - has apparently gone out of stock in India. Both the 6GB RAM/ 64GB inbuilt storage and 8GB RAM/ 128GB onboard storage variants of the handset are not available for purchase on Amazon.in as well as on OnePlus' official online store in the country. This is not the first time that older OnePlus flagships have gone out of stock before the launch of their successors; previously, the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T went out of stock in different parts of the world.

Interestingly, India is not the first market where the OnePlus 5T has gone out of stock. Last month, the handset became unavailable to purchase in North America, and has remained that way since then. So it may well be true that fans in India will have to wait for the OnePlus 6 launch now if they are planning to buy a new handset.

While the launch date hasn't yet been revealed by the Chinese phone maker, the flagship handset has been confirmed to sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, up to 8GB RAM, up to 256GB onboard storage, a display notch, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and, more recently, a glass back design. Much like the OnePlus 5T, the OnePlus 6 will also be exclusive to Amazon in India.

The handset is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC, coupled with 6GB/ 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB/ 128GB inbuilt storage.
