Oppo A5 64GB shares the features and specifications of its 32GB storage model that was launched last year
Oppo A5 with 64GB storage has been launched in India. The new storage variant of the Oppo A5 model is available for purchase through offline retailers in the country. It will also go on sale through online stores starting next week. The new model comes as an upgrade to the original Oppo A5 variant that was launched back in August last year with 32GB of onboard storage. The Oppo A5 comes with a dual rear camera setup and has AI Beauty 2.0 to enhance selfies.
The Oppo A5 price in India has been set at Rs. 12,990 for the 64GB storage model. The phone is already on sale through offline retailers in the country. However, it will also be available through online stores starting next week.
To recall, the Oppo A5 with 32GB storage variant was launched in India last year with a price tag of Rs. 14,990. The handset reportedly received a Rs. 1,000 price cut last December, and is currently available at Rs. 11,990 after another price cut in March.
Aside from increased storage capacity compared to the original model, there are no changes in the specifications and features of the new Oppo A5 variant. Thus, the phone comes preloaded with an AI Beauty 2.0 tech to uplift your selfies using software algorithms and has a Face Unlock feature. There is also a Music Party feature to play tracks from other nearby devices using the available hotspot functionality.
The dual-SIM (Nano) Oppo A5 runs Android 8.1 Oreo with ColorOS 5.1 on top. It flaunts a 6.2-inch HD+ (720x1520 pixels) FullView display along with a 19:9 aspect ratio and 87.9 percent of screen-to-body ratio. Under the hood, there is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC, paired with Adreno 506 GPU and 4GB of RAM.
In terms of optics, the Oppo A5 has a dual rear camera setup that comprises a 13-megapixel primary sensor along with an f/2.2 lens and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor with an f/2.4 lens. The phone also has an 8-megapixel sensor at the front, along with an f/2.2 lens.
Similar to its 32GB counterpart, the Oppo A5 64GB variant has storage expansion support via microSD card (up to 256GB). The phone has 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack on the connectivity front. Besides, it packs a 4,230mAh battery and measures 156.2x75.6x8.2mm.
