Panasonic on Wednesday its new Eluga I3 Mega smartphone, and says it will be available in the country via Panasonic authorised retailers, priced at Rs. 11,490.
Panasonic Eluga I3 Mega features a 4000mAh battery which is a highlight of the smartphone. The company is touting all-metal body of the Eluga I3 Mega on the official site. It features a 5.5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) IPS display and sports a 2.5D curved glass display. The smartphone is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MTK6735 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. It packs 16GB on-board storage and supports expandable storage via microSD card. The Android 6.0 Marshmallow-based Panasonic Eluga I3 Mega sports a 13-megapixel rear camera and also packs a 5-megapixel front camera. It will be going on sale in Champagne Gold and Silver colours.
The Panasonic Eluga I3 Mega measures 154.6x77x9.4mm and weighs 180 grams. For connectivity, Panasonic Eluga I3 Mega supports 4G with VoLTE apart from other standard connectivity options. The Eluga I3 Mega supports the LTE bands in India - FDD 1800MHz (Band 3) and TDD 2300MHz (Band 40) - as well as FDD 850MHz (Band 5). The phone supports dual-SIMs (Micro+ Nano).
Speaking on the launch, Pankaj Rana, Business Head, Mobility Division, Panasonic India said, "The full-metal body Eluga I3 Mega is designed to stand out in the crowd and is targeted towards the youth who like to keep it stylish. The powerful smartphone with 4000mAh battery and 5.5-inch display screen will solve the undying issue of college students and professionals who are always on the go."
Earlier this month, Panasonic India launched the Eluga Ray and P85 at Rs. 7,999 and Rs. 6,499, respectively. Both the devices were launched exclusively on Flipkart. The Eluga I3 Mega is an upgraded version of the Eluga I3 which was launched at Rs. 9,290.
