Panasonic has expanded its Eluga smartphones range in India as the company launched its Eluga Pulse and Eluga Pulse X smartphones for the country on Thursday. Both Panasonic Eluga Pulse and Pulse X smartphones run Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box and will be made available across all brand outlets next week at Rs. 9,690 and Rs. 10,990 respectively.
Coming to the specifications on the smartphones, the Panasonic Eluga Pulse sports a 5-inch HD IPS display while the Eluga Pulse X packs a larger 5.5-inch HD IPS display, both with Asahi Dragon Trail protective glass. Both the smartphones are powered by a 1.25GHz quad-core processor but Eluga Pulse comes with 2GB of RAM while the Eluga Pulse X features 3GB of RAM. The two new Panasonic Eluga smartphones come with 16GB of inbuilt storage, which is expandable via microSD card (up to 128GB) in both cases.
In terms of optics, both Panasonic Eluga Pulse and Pulse X sport a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel camera at front for clicking selfies. While the Panasonic Eluga Pulse comes with a 2200mAh battery, the Panasonic Eluga Pulse X houses a larger 3000mAh battery. Connectivity options on both smartphones include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS.
"With new variants launched in the Eluga series, launched with different designs and unique features, Panasonic targets various kind of users - youth, working professionals and gaming enthusiasts. The 4G VoLTE enabled smartphone, Eluga Pulse X and Eluga Pulse provide our customers with high speed and access to almost anything on the go and allows the user to take full charge of their life with the availability of speed," Pankaj Rana, Panasonic India's mobile division head, was quoted as saying in company's release.
