Lenovo has launched its Yoga Tablet 2 (Windows, 8-inch) in India at Rs. 24,499. The tablet, which was launched globally in October, is now available to purchase from the company's TheDoStore website.

The Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 runs on Windows 8.1 with Bing and features an 8-inch full-HD (1200x1920 pixels) resolution display with 10-point multi-touch and 178-degree wide viewing angle. The tablet is powered by a 64-bit Intel Atom Z3745 (1.33GHz base, 4 cores, 4 threads, 2MB cache) processor clubbed with 2GB of LPDDR3 RAM. An 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera with BSI sensor and a 1.6-megapixel HD fixed focus front facing camera for video chats.

The tablet features 32GB of inbuilt storage, which is further expandable up to 64GB via a microSD card. The connectivity options included in the Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 (Windows, 8-inch) are Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and USB connectivity. The device is available in Ebony Black colour variant.

The Yoga Tablet 2 also comes with Lenovo's AnyPen Technology, which lets users write directly on the screen of the tablet using a regular pen or pencil. Also included is the Dolby-powered front-facing speakers with Wolfson Hi-Fi Codec.

It is worth mentioning that Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 is also available with Android 4.4 KitKat OS out-of-the-box. The device was launched in October in India at a price tag of Rs. 20,990. The Yoga Tablet 2 series also include 10-inch Android and Windows tablets. Besides the OS difference, both variants feature the same innards like the 8-inch models.
