The standout feature of the Intex is its full-HD resolution, which promises to offer more detail and a sharper picture, despite the small dimensions. It's also light and easy to handle, with a net weight of just 2.4kg. The TV also features a 16.7 million colour display, two 3W speakers, a response time of 5ms and a wall-mounting kit included in the box. The TV also features Eye Safe-T, which offers better response times, smoother motion and a viewing experience designed to be easy on your eyes.
Speaking at the launch, Nidhi Markanday, Business Head, Consumer Durables & IT Accessories for Intex said, "Intex Technologies has always aimed at providing customers more than satisfaction. The way our products weave the experience of entertainment into happiness is what we aim to achieve. Our rapidly increasing acceptance of Consumer Durable products clearly showcases the popularity of our brand and cements our connection with our customers. The LED 2111-FHD is another revolutionary offering from Intex which shall connect the consumers again with the once hugely popular 21-inch TV size. This model not only provides powerful features but also fits perfectly in your budget. With this new launch we aim to bring the best of our offering at a delightful price."
Intex has not specified exactly how many HDMI and USB inputs the TV has, and the TV has not yet been listed on the company's website at the time of writing. The TV also has an odd 16:7 aspect ratio, which may lead to a picture surrounded by black bars or at worst, stretched, as most video content uses 4:3, 16:9 or 21:9 aspect ratios.
The Intex 2111-FHD will be available for Rs. 9,990, and is the Indian brand's cheapest full-HD television set. Intex has also launched 42-inch and 50-inch full-HD TVs this year.
