The Intex LED 4200 FHD features a 42-inch 1920x1080 pixel panel, inbuilt stereo speakers, digital noise filtering and a long list of connectivity options, including RF, HDMI, composite AV, USB, YPbPr, VGA and 3.5mm audio in. It follows soon after the launch of the Intex LED 3111, which was recently unveiled at a price of Rs. 23,990.
Intex's pricing strategy continues to bewilder us, since similarly-priced competing products from Micromax and Vu offer superior features and specifications. Micromax recently launched its first Ultra HD TVs at competition beating prices, offering far more in terms of features and pixel density at a price that is less than what Intex is charging for its full-HD LED TV. Vu also offers an Ultra HD TV with smart features at the same price as the Intex. Similarly, established manufacturers such as Toshiba, Panasonic, Samsung, LG and Sony also offer 42-inch full-HD TVs with similar features at similar prices. It is unlikely that buyers will opt to buy an Intex product when there is no real advantage being offered in terms of price or features.
The Intex LED 4200 FHD is already available for purchase through the company's retail and online channels.
