Samsung’s new range of smart TVs is priced starting at Rs. 24,900

While a lot of TV manufacturers are selling smart TVs in India, Samsung hopes to take the lead in the segment with features that set it apart from the competition. The South Korean electronics giant on Monday launched its latest range of smart TVs under a new Unbox Magic series, with various smart features that go beyond what typically TV manufacturers offer. The range is priced starting from Rs 24,900, and comes with smart TVs in various sizes and resolutions, ranging from 32 inches and HD resolution to 82 inches and 4K resolution.

Samsung is touting smart features that not many other smart TVs offer, including personal computing built into the TV, using the TV as a music system, home cloud capabilities for personal pictures and videos, live casting, and two-way sharing of content between the TV and the smartphone. Most other smart TV features, including access to apps and content services such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and YouTube, are present as well.

Samsung's new range of smart TVs are available to buy through both online and offline channels, with a large number of retail stores and Samsung-exclusive stores selling the company's TVs. While Samsung TVs are typically priced higher than many of the competing online-focused brands, wider availability and brand value tend to go a long way in the segment.

Samsung recently launched the NU6100 series of 4K TVs, which are priced from Rs. 41,900 onwards. These smart TVs are available only online and come in screen sizes ranging from 43 inches to 55 inches.
