Fitbit is an American wearables company, which is headquartered in San Francisco, California. It primarily produces activity trackers and smartwatches. Established in March 2017, the company was initially named Healthy Metrics Research. Fitbit is among the biggest players in the wearables space. The company was listed on New York stock exchange in June 2015. Over the years, Fitbit has acquired various companies working on fitness tracking, heath-related, and wearable devices, including Pebble, FitStar, and Twine Health.
