Cab aggregator platform Ola on Wednesday announced a special fare on Ola Share rides across Delhi-NCR where users can book an Ola Share ride at a flat rate of Rs. 50 from more than 150 Metro stations.

The offer will be valid from Monday to Friday, between 8am and 10pm. The special rate will be valid up to 7km after which normal Ola Share rates will apply. Ola also specified the above rates will only be valid till February 2017. The company said special fares on Ola Share have been rolled out across metro stations in Mumbai as well

Deep Singh, Business Head - North, Ola, said, "Ola Share has been one of our most widely adopted categories to date and we are ecstatic by the kind of traction it has been receiving. As far as our vision for shared mobility goes, Ola Share is our effort towards building sustainable mobility. Considering the current state of air pollution and traffic congestion in Delhi, using a shared cab could put more people in fewer cars, reducing the burden on the environment and on our roads. This is why we have targeted the Delhi Metro where every day we have thousands of people travelling to similar locations in separate autos and other modes of transport. Introducing flat rates will effectively encourage them to share rides at affordable, convenient prices and help us create a greener future." He further added, "Through these special fares, we are also aiming to solve the issues last mile connectivity, which is often a pain point for a lot of daily commuters especially during extreme weather conditions and peak traffic timings."
