Mango Man, the manufacturer of Teewe a video streaming HDMI dongle, has launched an app for the Windows Phone users. The application was previously only limited to Android, iOS, Windows, Linux, and OS X platforms.

The app, which works with the Teewe and Teewe 2 dongle, lets users browse YouTube videos, device photos, videos, music, and other free TV shows and mirror it on the television sets. Users would also be able to play, pause, and control volume directly via the Windows Phone device

The Teewe app is compatible with only those devices that run Windows Phone 8.1. It would also require an Internet connection, access to music and photos library of the device, microSD card and videos library to work. Devices should also feature at least a WVGA (480x800 pixels) resolution display. The app is listed on the Windows Phone Store.

"We were able to very quickly ramp up this development thanks to the guidance and close support of the Microsoft Team. Despite the speed of development, no compromises were made on the user experience across screen sizes etc. The result is one of the most beautiful ways to stream YouTube and other content on your big screen for Windows Users in India till date. We really hope this fulfils the gap felt by the Windows ecosystem when it comes to options for streaming their content on the big screen," said Sai Srinivas, CEO, Mango Man Consumer Electronics during the app launch.

The firm last month launched its Teewe 2 dongle in India at Rs. 2,399. The device features a dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 processor clocked at 1.6GHz; a quad-core GPU; 1GB of RAM, and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n support. It can be connected to any TV with an HDMI port. The company touts that the Teewe 2 is 30 percent smaller in size compared to the first-generation Teewe.
