Soundcore Vortex Over-Ear Headphones With 20-Hour Battery Life Launched at Rs. 6,499

Soundcore, a company that specialises in audio products and is a part of Anker Innovations, just launched the Vortex - its over-ear headphones that boast of a 20-hour battery life - in India. The headphone is available in Black for a price of Rs. 6,499 and is said to be available across all leading retail stores in India. Anker is a company that's popularly known for its powerbanks and wall chargers.

The Soundcore Vortex is a wireless, over-ear headphone that uses 40mm audio drivers and boasts of a range of 12m. The inbuilt 500mAh lithium polymer battery promises up to 20 hours of playback time on a single charge. The headphones also have dedicated buttons for music playback and volume control. It uses Bluetooth 4.1 for connecting to your smartphone. The headphones weigh around 290 grams.

The Vortex can be folded so it can be stowed away easily. It also ships with a hard-shell case for safer storage. The headphones support Qualcomm's aptX technology as well as AAC codecs for high resolution audio playback. The ear cups also use memory foam, which promise better isolation from ambient noise. There's a built-in microphone for answering voice calls, along with CVC noise cancellation. The headphones can also be used as a wired headphone too thanks to the 3.5mm headphone socket and Soundcore by Anker bundles a 3.5mm auxiliary cable in the box. There's also a flap-covered Micro-USB port for charging.

The Soundcore Vortex comes with a 18-month warranty. The headphone is also said to be quite light and promises very good comfort even for long listening sessions.
