  • You get what you pay for, both good and bad

Honestly, this is an amazing laptop for multi-use setups. I use it mostly for games and 3d modeling but it also works in a pinch for schoolwork with a battery life that can get up 6.5ish hours on max battery-saving mode. But trying to game on battery will leave you with only an hour and a half max. The only thing that I would change is finding a model of this laptop with USB-c. Don't let the pictures fool you, I was somewhat disappointed that it didn't come with at least one USB-c port but it still is a good deal for what you get.Pros:+Great Keyboard feel and backlighting+Decenlty slim and sturdy+Full-size Ethernet and HDMI+Crisp ScreenCons:-Heavy-No USB-C (Not a big problem for me, but might be for you)-Trackpad is fragile (mine leans to one side after a couple of weeks light use)

Shipping took 2 days. Seller did an excellent job. Computer is nice for the money. No damage to the computer or box. Do recommend after I spent a time looking for a good seller.

  • Great little workhorse of a PC--now that I've got the D drive working
Af (Jul 21, 2020) on Amazon
This is a good PC. Works for gaming, work, videoconferencing, etc. My only complaint is that when I got the laptop, the 1 TB drive was not formatted or mapped. I didn't realize until I was running about of storage and started looking into why that was happening. I'm fairly computer savvy, but not super knowledgeable about system stuff. Luckily, my brother-in-law was able to walk me through formatting & mapping the 1TB drive. Now all my storage issues are over. I'm not sure if this happened to anyone else or if it was just a fluke. I'd recommend buyers double check when they receive their unit.

  • Generally good, but there are a few things you should know?
Native Texan (Jul 2, 2020) on Amazon
You don't want a laptop to be unpredictable. This one is. For example, I use my laptop with an external monitor, not a big deal, I've done it on a number of laptops that I use. If I hook up a monitor via HDMI and try to boot up this laptop, it stays dark. It does not like anything plugged in when it boots up, or it just won't. My other laptops don't do that. Worse, sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn't. Unpredictable.Sometimes it takes longer to boot up than it should. I'm just getting started with this laptop so I don't have much on it, and nothing that should cause that kind of lag. When it does work, it works very well. I can't say if the problem is the laptop or Windows 10, but does it really matter? It isn't like I'm going to take the Windows 10 off and put something else on to make it run better. The laptop should run properly with the installed software.I've had a number of Dell computers, and I haven't seen this behavior in any of them. Only time will tell if this is going to be a dealbreaker of a problem.Another thing you should know about is the power cable, because it's basically two cables attached to a brick. The transformer on this cable is big and heavy, bigger than any I've ever seen before. Unless you are wearing camp pants, it will not fit in your pocket. And it's a big computer. I don't mind that, I wanted the big monitor and I sure wanted the big keyboard. But just be aware. Finally, the Touchpad is offset to the left. I'm sure I will eventually get used to it, but for right now, I'm spending a lot of time muttering colorful metaphors. I know why they did it that way, it so it would be centered under the spacebar. But because of the keypad on the right, it's off-center. My hands keep wandering to the center of the computer, and consequently giving it the wrong commands.Only time will tell if this computer and I become good friends or not. Maybe, as time goes by, I will adjust to the issues and come to appreciate the better features.

  • Worth the money if you are on a tight budget and don't mind some compromises.
Akio Hm (Dec 2, 2019) on Amazon
Very nice laptop for the money, however battery is a problem, it will last about 4 hours without gaming. This laptop requires a barrel jack to charge, so you need to carry it's AC to DC adapter with you instead of just a small USB-C PD if you plan to charge it outside your home. Also if you plan to game, the laptop must be connected to a power source otherwise the GPU will power throttle and reduce it's performance.Edit: Despite the specs, the laptop can't run any game decently, even on low settings you will get high fps but will have lag spikes all over the place, don't buy it if you plan to play any slightly demanding game.
