About Inside Edge Season 1 Web Series

Inside edge takes a dig at the dark secrets surrounding the glamorous world of cricket. It focuses on a fictional Twenty20 team called the Mumbai Mavericks which is all set to perform in Power Play League (PPL), a creative equivalent of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

The team is owned by fading Bollywood actress Zarina Malik (Richa Chadha). It doesn’t take long for the show to bring to the surface the murky aspects of cricket such as politics, spot-fixing, sexism, corruption, casual sex, harassment, sensationalism, and infidelity. All in all, the series is a dramatic and soapy narrative of how finances and powerplay overshadow the sports world.

Inside Edge is the first Hindi language series distributed by Amazon. The show was nominated for Best Drama Series at 46th International Emmy Awards.
