The PUBG Mobile 0.8.0 update has a release date. After being teased by the official PUBG Mobile account on Twitter last week, it has finally been revealed to be available from September 12 for Android and iOS. With it comes new vehicles like the Muscle Car, weapons such as the QBZ rifle, and of course the Sanhok map. Sanhok is one-fourth the size of Erangel or Miramar. Due to its size, matches tend to get over quicker. It still features 100 players.
"PUBG Mobile will be taken offline for maintenance from 00:00 - 08:00 (UTC) on Sep 11th. Server may be back online sooner or later depending on maintenance progress. As expected, the new version with Sanhok map will be released starting Sep 12th," tweeted the official PUBG Mobile account. While Tencent is yet to confirm what we can expect, here's a list of the patch notes from the PUBG Mobile subreddit based on the Chinese version of the game. It's not final, but gives us an idea of what to expect.

The new rainforest map Sanhok is open, players can choose the rainforest map to match in the map selection.
Added "Season Archive" function, which can be accessed in the game season interface to view the data of previous seasons.
New vehicles: Bulletproof UAZ Jeep and Muscle Car
Added the QBZ assault rifle, use 5.56mm bullets, randomly placed around Sanhok.
Added a flare gun to signal a super airdrop. Can be summoned in the play zone, and a Bulletproof UAZ can be summoned outside the play zone, which will be in classic mode for a limited time.

Sensitivity for 3x Scopes and 6x Scopes can be adjusted.
During the 6x Scope and 8x Scope zooming, the sensitivity will be dynamically adjusted according to the sensitivity of the different multiples of the scope set by the player. When using 8x Scope to 4x magnification, the sensitivity of the 4x scope setting is applied.

Fixed the problem that some vehicles are too prone to drift in some parts of the map.

"As of now, new maps are the most requested in-game feature in PUBG Mobile. I think the idea of exploring a new terrain; a new battleground gets the players excited. We are always looking into what interests our players and are trying to bring out new features with every update," said Aneesh Aravind, General Manager, Tencent Games India in conversation with Gadgets 360 recently. What's more is, Aravind hinted at a greater number of modes and content in the months to come pointing to the success of War Mode as a reason for this.

"Players are really enjoying the War Mode. The game feature allows players to respawn and continue the game even after their in-game death while scoring points for kills and revives. Our players are having a lot of fun with it. There are several new maps and modes that we are testing out and some of them would be released in the near future," he said.
