  • This year's edition of the military shooter series will be called Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.
  • There should be an official reveal by May 3.
  • Previous reports indicate it will be set in space.

According to a listing unearthed on the PlayStation Store, this year's Call of Duty game will be called Infinite Warfare.

The name was uncovered on the PS4 version of the PlayStation Store by users of popular gaming forum NeoGAF. With the name on the PlayStation Store, it's just a matter of time before we hear an official announcement. What this also means is that we won't be getting a sequel to 2013's Call of Duty: Ghosts which was developed by Infinity Ward, the same studio developing Infinite Warfare.

This leak follows a tweet from video game critic Jim Sterling that claimed the game would be officially revealed by next Tuesday and would be listed in stores as well.

Right now, the new Call of Duty game is expected to hit shelves on November 5 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. There's a good chance it will be up against another yet to be officially announced shooter, Battlefield 5. With Titanfall 2 expected this year as well as Gears of War 4, it's safe to say that fan of sci-fi shooters have a lot to look forward to this year.
