Twitch, the popular video sharing and streaming platform, has released its app for Xbox One users, bringing the much-vaunted broadcasting support to the console. Notably, Sony's PlayStation 4 console featured live streaming via the Share button via Twitch.tv at launch.

The live broadcasting feature courtesy Twitch was set to arrive alongside EA and Respawn Entertainment's Titanfall, which launched on Tuesday.

The news of the arrival of the Twitch app for Xbox One comes from Twitch's Twitter post, which said, "Twitch app update for Xbox One will be ready at 4pm PDT today!," and it was further confirmed by Microsoft Studio's tweet, "Looks like the @TwitchTV App is rolling out!."

Xbox One gamers, using the Twitch app, can now share live gameplay videos online by simply giving a voice-command - "Xbox, Broadcast." One can additionally chat with others via the app using the Kinect sensor, which also enables gamers to use the picture-in-picture video and audio commentary while broadcasting gameplay. Anyone can view the streaming video coming from other users and can follow them for regular updates.

"Your Twitch activity will appear right in the friends app and activity feed of your followers, giving everyone a real-time update on what you're broadcasting or watching," mentioned the Xbox Wire's blog post published in February.

Gamers can add their friends to a private party chat directly from the chat stream and can additionally use the notification feature so that they don't miss out on any updates by those who the user follows.

"You'll have access to the all of the live broadcasts, as well as exclusive content. Unlike other Twitch console experiences, you can also broadcast a full-screen view of the game you're playing or use an on-screen viewer indicator to keep an eye on how popular your live broadcast is. You can even earn Media Achievements just by spectating as you normally would or, we hope, by checking out any of the Xbox One games you haven't seen before," states the blog.

Xbox One users can follow the one-time setup process for Twitch broadcasting app mentioned on the Xbox Wire blog.
