Purchased this after checking out the Razer Blade and I?ve found the Gigabyte Aero 14 to be much more superior in many aspects. Price, specs, quality, size/weight, everything about this laptop has impressed me over Razer?s similar gaming laptop.My biggest issues with the Razer were the loudness of the fans when gaming and the heat on the palm-rests. After about 10-15 minutes of gaming, the fans would spin up to an incredibly loud volume to the point where it becomes very difficult to hear game audio. In the same amount of time, the palm rest area of the laptop would get so hot that it would be very uncomfortable to rest my palms on the chassis for an extended amount of time.I?m very glad I was able to move over to the Gigabyte Aero 14 - I?ve had zero issues and nothing but a positive experience with this laptop, definitely would recommend to others if they?re looking for a very slim and powerful laptop.-Kevin

I bought this laptop as a replacement for my old Aspire S7, tempted by the beautiful screen, powerful GPU/CPU at a reasonable price and weight. I was not dissapointed.I loved the fact that this comes with 2 ram slots, and only uses one of them.I plan to use this notebook every day for both working and gaming. Although installing linux alongside windows, and managing both video cards with a dual monitor setup in linux was really challenging and required a lot of manual configuration, I manage to get it to work.With the extra 16 gb of RAM that I installed, got excellent performance, on both games and gpu computation with CuNN.Recommended.

This laptop is the embodiment of the saying "looks can be deceiving". Wow. This thing is a powerhouse. And at the same time, it boasts fantastic battery life and an incredible portability. The keys are satisfying to press, the trackpad is fairly decent, the macro keys are a welcome addition to any gamer's arsenal.I will make the caveat that I've had the product for about 48 hours now so everything I'm saying is based on my initial experience. But everything is as advertised and I'm extremely glad I made the decision to go with the Gigabyte Aero 14.Seriously, if you're considering buying the Aero 14, pull the trigger and you will not be disappointed.

Finally got to open the box today!PROS:* Feels sturdy for such a small/thin laptop* Keyboard has a nice feel so far. The macro key placement takes a little getting used to, but nothing 5 minutes can't fix.* So far, very quiet.* Has all of the external ports I need.* Price vs Performance is great!CONS:* Came with a fair amount of software and applications I did not want (bloatware)* Not so much a con, but something takes some getting used to (for me anyway). The mouse takes a bit of getting used to if you arent used to being able to left-click anywhere on the mouse pad. If your muscle memory keeps taking you to the bottom left to click it will move the pointer way from its current location. Your best bet is to click with the finger you are using to move the cursor.

Great computer, I like how thin the bezel is. I also love the super long battery life, I also like the fact that it has a lot of power and I rarely need to plug it in.

So far so good! I purchased this computer a couple weeks ago and to date have no complaints to speak of. It performs well when playing games and handles other tasks easily.Like other posters here, I started by doing a full reinstall of the operating system in order to clear off some of the manufacturer software. I also purchased a second 16GB RAM stick in order to fill the empty slot in the machine. I think 32GB is overkill, but the alternative was to purchase two 8GB sticks since in general I've had better experiences with dual-channel memory.

So far this laptop has met all my expectations. It runs fairly cool and I don't get much noise from the fans. That's to say that I've been running titanfall 2, hollow knight, ghost recon: wild lands, etc. I would definitely recommend this laptop.Cons:Backspace key is pretty sticky, but will most likely loosen up with use and I have a problem with the scratch pad being slightly too wide for when I type and it moves the cursor, but a scratch pad lock can fix that.

Great laptop, Very fast and exactly what I was looking for in terms or size, weight and battery duration.

The Aero 14 is a beautiful machine that feels really solidly built. I got the orange because the black was a little boring and the green was a little too flashy for my tastes. Boot time is super fast and programs load quickly. I've only played Witcher 3 on it so far and it runs amazing. The battery life is pretty great, if Im just online or using word/excel it can last about 6-8 hrs before needing to charge.

I bought this laptop to use in college, but also as someone who likes to game on PC. This laptop is the best of both worlds for the price. Build quality is nice, though it is a fingerprint magnet. The laptop is light, slim, and has a good battery life, but has powerful enough hardware that, if close to a power outlet, you can play most games without a problem, though you will need headphones, the fan run pretty loud under load, but that,s the price you pay for such a portable device.

Ok, so I just got this laptop and so far it's exactly what I wanted it to be. It's small enough to move around and do work but powerful enough to play games when you have some time next to an outlet. If there is any issue that pops up I'll make sure to update the review.

I've had this laptop for just under a week now and it is an excellent device. Screen is gorgeous at 1440p resolution and with the 7700HQ CPU and 1070m graphics card it can really keep up with the visual fidelity. Great keyboard size and the keys have an excellent feel to them, plus I enjoy using the keyboard backlight. Trackpad is usable although I tend to use a trackball mouse instead. Three USB 3.0 ports including one that supports USB charging while the computer is off, plus one USB 3.1 port. HDMI and Mini DisplayPort both work excellent. And, as is pretty standard in laptops, the media card reader is always useful.It is disappointing that the laptop does not have a built in ethernet port, but the inclusion of a USB to RJ45 cable converter is welcome. This laptop does have exhaust ports on the bottom of the device, so it will tend to get quite warm when using it on a desk or flat surface. I haven't had any issues in overheating, but I would recommend using a cooler pad or a raised and non-solid surface to help the laptop's cooling system work.The device also appears to have a very strong build quality which feels like it won't break or have issues easily. Overall I am ecstatic with my purchase and would highly recommend this laptop.

I wanted a laptop that was powerful, portable and had great battery life. This laptop exceeds all my expectations. The exterior of the laptop is very nice, with the black and the carbon fiber look. When I got the laptop I clean reinstalled my windows and just installed gigabyte's smart manager and macrohub because there was too much bloatware for me. Gigabyte has also included a usb to Ethernet adapter which is really nice. The charging adapter of the laptop also has a usb port which allows you to charge up your phones or tablets, this is a feature I really enjoy and find useful. The screen is really nice and bright. The keyboard keys are a little more stiff than I am used to but it's not a big deal. I like the fact that gigabyte included 5 macro keys with 5 changeable profiles on the left side of the keyboard.The trackpad is better than all the laptops I had in the past but not as good as macbook trackpads, but it's still good to use. Considering the amount of power this laptop offers, the battery life is pretty good. I can get through a full day use with battery on power saver mode. Overall this was a great purchase and I have no regrets buying this laptop.

I was looking for a powerful gaming laptop and found Gigabyte's laptop that sported the same power as other laptops in the same field but at a lower price. No complaints.

I've been travelling around with this laptop now on trains, airplanes and hotels and I'm loving it.Pros:- Super thin and easy to carry around- Battery life is fantastic. Laptop lasted an entire transatlantic flight with me watching video and still had another hour left over- Plays games with high settings really well, been playing Witcher 3 and Battlefield 1 at 1080p with high settings and getting 60fps across the board, no thermal throttling at all.Cons:- Dislike the macro keys on the keyboard. Their not really something I see myself using and the keyboard would feel bettter without them.- Without undervolting the laptop can run a little bit hot with temps off 88c playing Crysis 3. However after undrvolting by about 100mv my battery has gone up even more and temps are quite comfortable maxing at 80c.

Coming from Macbook Pro, feels solid, keyboard is a little hard to push but I kind of like it. Trackpad is decent for windows laptop. Screen is nice. Laptop is built well, incredibly light, and great battery life for having a GTX 1060

just bought this laptop, it was delivered perfectly, it looks great, graphics are beautiful, haven't spent too much time with it though, no problems yet though

The laptop is really snappy and gaming is awesome. Except for a sticky "O" key, the keyboard feels fantastic. The audio is ok and sounds a bit tinny at higher volumes but I'll probably be using headphones or external speakers anyway so no biggie. Can't wait to keep putting this thing through its paces.

As a programmer and gamer, I wanted a laptop that had enough horsepower for both tasks, while more portable than my last notebook (17 inch 3 kg monster), and this machines delivers in those aspects.Pros:Build quality is very good, and feels premium on every aspect.The screen is 14 inch, and 1440p, so be prepared to increase the scaling on windows, otherwise the fonts are very small. Not all applications play well with the windows scaling, but that is more an application problem than a screen one.Performance is great, the specs speak for themselves, not much to add in that regard.Keyboard feels nice and precise. One of the best keyboards I used.1 dimm of 16GB, easily upgradeable to 32GB if needed.Cons:Trackpad is not bad, but it's not Macbook Pro level. It does NOT uses Microsoft Precision drivers, although there is a way to force the trackpad to use it.Smart Manager, the app that is used to handle everything in the laptop (brightness, keyboard backlight, fans, etc) needs some love, it feels like an old application, and there are a couple of places where it can be improved. Again, not bad, but it could be much better.The SSD is SATA and not NVME. Expected for the price, but would have been better to have the nvme one.Overall: 4.5/5.I bought the orange color, added wallpapers and windows accent to match and it looks really good.

I was waiting for a laptop like this for the last 3 years, and had quite simple list of criteria: - Performant video card for gaming (close to desktop) and other CPU/RAM intensive tasks (software development) - Portable in all senses (<2kg and 5h+ on single charge) - Reasonable priceAnd I was very happy so far with my choice. All the latest game titles are running on ultra settings without any issues (DOOM, Fallout 4, Witcher 3). Among the things that I liked particularly: - Widows 10 starts very fast 10-15s - 3k Matte display is great and is very comfortable for reading and gaming - Battery life seems to be more than 10hThe only thing that I think could be improved is keyboard. It requires a bit of effort while typing (keys are too spongy and some even bounce back with the sound) also macros row is quite useless (I would gladly traded it for longer right Shift key).

I spent some time deciding before purchasing this laptop and I don't regret it.The screen is gorgeous, the battery life is great for this type of laptop and its performance enables me to run almost anything at high settings.The fan noise is not a real issue for me. I do recommend the Aero 14!

Very nice laptop, great value for those who want a gaming laptop, but don't want to spend more on a razor laptop. The SSD is fairly quick, nothing too special but not a slouch. Runs a bit hot on gaming from 1080p and up, but nothing that will burn your lap. Little throttling.

Very high quality... bought it in a "Used Like New" condition from Mobile Advance, and though the package had a bit of wear (and without the ethernet cable, in my case), the laptop itself is AMAZING in excellent condition... and actually Mobile Advance refunded me partially for the missing accessory, when I addressed them.... Highly honest and thoughtful company...In short this gaming laptop is par excellence (and don't worry about what everybody seems to say regarding fan noise, in reality it isn't that bad, and actually after a week or two you'd get used to it).... temps and performance (for modern AAA games and in general) are just awesome!!!Highly highly recommended :) :)

Works great! Plays every game I want at 60 fps max settings. Keyboard feels pretty stiff but you get used to it very quickly. Battery will outlast whatever on the go work you have to do. Highly recommend this product.

Great materials, powerful video card and cpu, incredible battery life (minimal bright browsing aprox 14hs). Plus silence coolers, awesome display, ultra slim and light. The green color is too teenager but you have 3 colors to choose. The only thing is the usb c port. Doesn't have thunderbolt. And you can't use as a HDMI output.
