Honor Magic 2 3D mobile was launched in October 2018. The phone comes with a 6.39-inch touchscreen display offering a resolution of 1080x2340 pixels at a pixel density of 403 pixels per inch (ppi) and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. Honor Magic 2 3D is powered by a 2.6GHz octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 980 processor that features 2 cores clocked at 2.6GHz, 2 cores clocked at 1.92GHz and 4 cores clocked at 1.8GHz. It comes with 8GB of RAM. The Honor Magic 2 3D runs Android 9.0 and is powered by a 3500mAh non-removable battery. The Honor Magic 2 3D supports proprietary fast charging.

As far as the cameras are concerned, the Honor Magic 2 3D on the rear packs a 16-megapixel (f/1.8) primary camera; a 24-megapixel (f/1.8) camera, and a 16-megapixel (f/2.2) camera. It sports a 16-megapixel camera on the front for selfies with an f/2.0 aperture.

The Honor Magic 2 3D runs Magic UI 2.0 is based on Android 9.0 and packs 512GB of inbuilt storage. The Honor Magic 2 3D is a dual-SIM (GSM and GSM) mobile that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM cards. The Honor Magic 2 3D measures 157.32 x 75.13 x 8.30mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 206.00 grams. It was launched in Gradient Black, Gradient Blue, and Gradient Red colours.

Connectivity options on the Honor Magic 2 3D include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GPS, Bluetooth v5.00, NFC, USB OTG, USB Type-C, 3G, and 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India) with active 4G on both SIM cards. Sensors on the phone include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, compass/ magnetometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and fingerprint sensor. The Honor Magic 2 3D supports face unlock with 3D face recognition.
