What I was getting within a budget of 8K was a Windows dud and frankly, I was quite satisfied with the deal. But when the salesman showed me the Huawei Y 511, I simply told him not to show me expensive phones. Then he disclosed the price and I was literally swept off my feet. An Android jelly bean phone with 4.5 inch screen! I never expected to get these features within my meager budget. Guys! The phone is an absolute delight, least to say. Its touch is comparable to the most expensive phones. The user interface is simple and lets you use all the feature with ease. This is truly no nonsense Android phone for the new generation.

Straight coming at a point that the cell phone is amazing in every way. 1. Elegant and sophisticated design as the side strip is chromium and shines, which is not clear in the images. 2. 4.5 inch Full Wide Video Graphics Array screen, which is unlike any Micromax phone. 3. Support HSPA+ , high speed and the speed is really good as I'm using a 2G data service of Airtel and getting a 2.5G speed. (17MB of Whatsapp update finished in 10 minutes.) 4. 17.3 Ah battery works great for me while using internet the drain was slow.

i am already owner of Huawei ascend p1, based on that experience i bought this phone for my dad, it is realy good mobile not like cheep china brand. built quality is really nice. if you see the mobile you immediately grab the phone. bcoz it look like high end mobile. go for it without worries.

Huawei Y511 bought by me is an excellent product. If you want your moneys worth then one should opt for Huawei products. They are otherwise third largest in the world in smartphones, hence need not go for the popular brand names and pay more.

read all the review before buying it thru flip kart, it was useful for me to judge before owning it, now iam enjoying it. every thing in this price is simply superb ,decent and worth it.looks and feel is great. regarding the wifi and 3g comparted to my sis micromax its faster . only regret is no case and screen gaurd in local market either online. every other thing is completer wanna buy simply go for it no regrets.

If u r not bothered about installing other ROMs, this device is the best. It can be rooted. It has a good GPU. Scores around 11k in Antutu benchmark test which simply means it can beat any brands like samsung,sony and nokia at dis price range. Pros: Good build, heavy,nice textured back cover Superb performance, no lag. Big 5 in screen Whoever has seen it in my hand told me it is a very good looking smartphone. What else wud i want. And this looks like a very expensive phone believe me. Cons: ROMs are not available for dis device. This is not a big issue if u r not looking forward to flashing this device(which voids ur warranty). So this phone is not for geeks.

It boots very fast thats the main thing I loved in this fone. Looks great.nice UI,Camera quality is bad but i'm very rare user of camera so no prob. indeed I don't want camera. screen quality is upto mark.call quality is nice.

Pros: 1. 4,5" screen with good resolution 2. Its MT6572 SoC(1.3 GHz dual core cortex A7 with Mali 400 at 500MHz) 3. Build quality better than Indian vendors 4. Android JellyBean 4.2 Cons: 1. Only 3MP Camera and no Flash, some 5MP and even 8MP camera phones available at similar price. 2. Only 512 MB of RAM. Considering the chipset and RAM usage of Android Platform it should have atleast 1GB of RAM for better multitasking.

it is a decent buy only lag is the camera. anyway who takes pictures.huawei crossed sony htc and lg to be the third largest vendor next to apple and samsung u can go for it

I'm using the device since from 2 weeks and feels it worth for money, Pros: 1. 4,5" screen with good resolution (220ppi) 2. MT6572 (1.3 GHz dual core cortex A7 with Mali 400 at 500MHz) performs good, 3. glossy metallic finish which gives premium look for the device 4. Android JellyBean 4.2 5. Battery back up is good, it consume around 40% of charge for 9hrs of usage on wifi, 6.video play back upto 1080p Cons: 1. Only 3MP Camera and no Flash.

I bought the phone on 20-11-2013. Put it to reasonable testing. Its the best Rs.7500/- can buy !! The Pros : Premium look and feel, Easy interface 2GB internal memory, Very good video playback, etc... The Cons : 3G / Wifi on always drains battery fast - otherwise very good battery backup The phone seeks wifi signal all the time. Works best on Wifi. For best music, install some good music app from google app store (i tried Fusion and its good) and buy additional in-ear headphones. That makes the phone a complete music phone. The earphones that come with the phone are enough to talk and listen, not enough bass and punch to enjoy music. Buying some good in-ear earphones delights the music lovers. The camera could have been better. Could atleast be 5 mp rear camera. The front camera is almost useless. ALL-IN-ALL, Huawei Ascend Y511-U IS BEST VALUE FOR MONEY. I give 8/10 for the piece.

The phone boots very fast and wrks with no lag...battery backup is decent...gud interface.. smooth... Sound quality is good, not great... Camera quality is very poor and has no flash ( truly speaking, this was the only con that really annoyed me, rest wer adjustable). They could have integrated a 5 MP cam for this price (since huawei is not so big in indian market) 512 MB RAM is also dissapointing, howerver i havent felt any lag with the phone till date. :) Screen is awesome for the price.. with the size as well as the colours and resolution. And also, Jellly Bean out of the box is also commentable :)

front camera very bad

The specs seem good with such price band. But, let us make a comparison with Videocon A42. It will put everything in black and white.

Forget about taking pics.. :( no way. Rest is fine. This is budget phone but you can get better if you slightly increase your budget.

Better go for Moto E guys. I have bought this mobile and very disappointed with this product. The resolution for 4.5 inch screen is very less and dont think about taking pics at all.
