In this weekly column, we talk to the men and women who are leading India in their field, and get a glimpse of how they work and which gadgets they're dreaming about. Vijay Shekhar Sharma, founder of One97 and PayTM tells us what devices he can't do without, and how technology has changed the way he works.

Describe your technology setup - what computer/ phone/ tablet/ camera/ gaming console/ other gadgets do you use?
I use a 13-inch Apple Macbook Retina Pro. I have an Apple iPhone 5s (64GB version). I download a lot of apps, games, music. In my office, I cannot do without the Epson EB-1775w wireless projector and an LED paired with Apple TV. I pair them with my laptop or mobile to show and discuss what we work on.

[There is] my Analog Table Clock that I picked up from MoMa i.e the Museum of Modern Art in New York. As far as time keeping goes, I am old school like that.

My Apple iPad Mini 64GB is my remote control and also my media server at home. At home, I use the Bose Wave music system and I pair the Bluetooth music adaptor for it. I also have the Hidden Radio. It's a combined Bluetooth speaker and radio. It's great but I have started using it less after I got the Bluetooth adaptor for my Bose.

I have something called the W/Me. It is like other trackers that monitor physical health but it gives a more holistic view measuring my heart rate, mood and activity.

What are three apps (mobile/ tablet or PC/ Mac) you couldn't live without?
I cannot work without Evernote. It is like an extension of my thoughts and ideas. I am constantly jotting down or mailing myself notes. I don't use text messages anymore. I don't even have the notifications turned on for them. I mostly only use Whatsapp now. It really has become my primary text messaging tool.

Whenever I find something that I'd like to read, I save it using the browser plugin and read it later on the Pocket app on my iPhone.

What is one gadget (other than your phone) you never travel without?
The iPhone. That's it.

How has technology changed the way in which you work?
Technology truly is a way of life now. From waking up and jotting down some ideas in Evernote to syncing my music over Bluetooth in my car while I drive to of course working in a technology company - It makes everything seamless and more efficient.
