As per an official release, as many as 36 institutions across Andhra Pradesh are partnering in the initiative and have also nominated their faculty members who will be trained in the first programme to be held in association with Nasscom from December 7-11 in Hyderabad Central University.
"After this training, the courses would be offered to the pre-final engineering students in these institutions, the advantage being the course content and design has been developed with the help of Industry trainers of Nasscom," it said.
Quoting statistics, it said the IT Security market estimated at $77 billion (roughly Rs. 5,13,191 crores) worldwide in 2015 and growing at over 8 percent annually.
The demand for security workforce is to rise globally to 6 million by 2019, up from 4 million currently, with projected shortfall of 1.5 million.
IT Security market in India is estimated to be 1 percent of the overall IT-BPM industry and rapid growth in security software product segment is projected at - $250 million (roughly Rs. 1,666 crores) revenues in FY 2015. It has been ball parked that over 5 lakh jobs would be available on application security and data security fields across the world, it explained.
