Lizard Squad, the group of hackers who recently got famous by claiming to have hacked PlayStation Network and Xbox Live, is now selling its DDoS attack service to users. It is worth mentioning that the DDoS service is the same tool that the group used to hack the two gaming portals.

The hacker group introduced the DDoS service as Lizard Stresser on Tuesday morning, when they tweeted "Our booter is now online & registration is now open". Also, one of the Lizard Squad members, going by the name Dragon, gave additional details via direct message to The Daily Dot website.

Using the service, Lizard Squad says users can target any portal on the Web. The Lizard Squad member, who also is the group's co-owner, added that this would be their last move before they "vanish off back to the caves where we came from."

When logged into the Lizard Stresser service, a message showing major accomplishments of the group, including the PSN and Xbox Live hack, is shown to the users. The service features eight different packs based on number of seconds of attack, which users can buy through Bitcoin, the popular cryptocurrency.

Each pack includes a monthly and a lifetime membership, except the starting 100-second pack. While the starting pack of 100 seconds includes $5.99 monthly pay subscription only, the costliest 30,000 seconds pack includes $129.99 monthly fee and $500 lifetime fee.

Dragon also mentioned that hacking PSN and Xbox Live gaming portals, and leaving off with 3,000 premium Mega Lifetime vouchers by Kim Dotcom, was part of a "marketing scheme" to get famous and earn money. "Playing games on a Twitter is fun, but it comes down to the money. The objective here, for me at least-can't speak for others-is money," added Dragon.

It is worth mentioning that the hacker group's Lizard Stresser service is claimed to offer an 'average' load of 5 Terabits per second, which translates to a powerful DDoS attack. However, a cyber-security analyst said to The Daily Dot that, "they maybe don't have 5 terabits of power behind them." However, looking at the PSN and Xbox Live hacks, they "certainly have one of, if not the, strongest booter available."

The Lizard Squad co-owner further mentioned that within three hours of the launch, 25 customers already purchased the Lizard Stresser service and hoped that the group could keep the service available for at least one year. In addition, Dragon said Lizard Squad group will not be able to reveal which websites the customers are targeting as it will not keep any logs.

Meanwhile, the sources close to the matter have revealed to The Daily Dot that one of the Lizard Squad members named 'ryanc' is under investigation by the FBI. The Finnish police arrested the user previously in 2013 for operating a powerful botnet made of 60,000 servers worldwide.
