The App launcher now feels somewhat like the Windows Start button at the bottom corner of the screen as opposed to entirely covering it. A universal search box on the top lets users find and sort apps easily without having to open the browser.
The browser-based operating system now also allows users to set custom wallpapers. Another visual improvement is the redesigned Cloud Print Dialog. Furthermore, Google has provided additional support for USB and HDMI audio.
The announcement which came via a blogpost stated, "This is all part of our goal to make sure your Chromebook and Chromebox get better over time."
