Best Mobile Phones Under 30000 In India

The prices of flagship-class smartphones have skyrocketed over the past few years, and it isn’t shocking at all to see people spend more than Rs. 70,000 for the latest iPhone, Samsung Galaxy, and Google Pixel models. Thankfully, if your budget isn’t quite so generous, you can get very nearly the same performance, features, and style for less than half as much. The sub-Rs. 30,000 category has plenty of options, and some of the recently launched models at this price level even boast of features that much more expensive flagships don’t have yet.

If you can spend up to Rs. 30,000, you can get yourself a phone that does it all. You don’t have to compromise on camera quality, battery life, or modern conveniences. Some of our picks for the best smartphones priced below Rs. 30,000 might surprise you with their features, such as the Vivo V15 Pro’s pop-up selfie camera and in-display fingerprint sensor, or the Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018)’s four rear cameras.

We review hundreds of smartphones each year and put them through a number of tests to see whether they’re good enough to recommend. We check out their performance, cameras, displays, batteries, software, and physical construction quality, and we also tell you everything you need to know about how they hold up in day-to-day use. The following phones have scored the highest across the board, so you know that you’re getting the best possible bang for your buck.

Here are our current picks for the best smartphones priced below Rs. 30,000.

Motorola’s Edge 60 Pro has a slim and stylish tapered design, which uses a polycarbonate frame and has top-notch IP rating for dust and water. Unlike most brands, there are several different textured finishes to choose from.

Its display has skinny bezels and offers a vibrant viewing experience but lacks HDR support in OTT apps. The top-end mid-ranger processor offers more than enough performance for daily multi-tasking, but cannot offer sustained gaming performance. The software experience is smooth, but does pack some bloatware which can be uninstalled.

Camera performance is very good for this price point. The telephoto camera offers good performance in daylight but shoots slightly softer images in low light. Selfie camera captures oversharpened images.

Battery life did not perform well in our benchmark tests, but did very well in real-world testing. Charging speeds are still relatively fast and the phone also offers fast wireless charging.

The Nothing Phone 3a Pro 5G brings a lot of improvements as compared to its predecessor. The latest smartphone from the brand offers the iconic transparent back panel with an improved Glyph interface. Moreover, the new camera module gives it a distinct look and feel. The handset comes with an IP64 rating, which makes it dust and water-resistant.

The Vivo V50 offers a slim and stylish design despite using a mix of glass and polycarbonate. It’s design is also IP68 and IP69-rated for dust and water resistance. Vivo makes good use of a quad-curved display to give the phone a slim silhouette, but it still feels a bit heavy because of its large battery.

The display is quite bright and is properly legible in the bright outdoors. However, its quad-curved design does produce some unnecessary and distracting reflections. The phone has the same chipset used in the past two models, but the software handles it all well with a hiccup.

Its lower raw performance is more evident when playing games, as it’s not able to hold a stable frame rate while doing so. However, heating issues are not a problem. Camera performance is a mixed bag and is far from the best we have seen in this segment.

Battery performance stands out, easily managing more than a day of heavy usage. Charging speeds are also quite fast for a device equipped with such a large battery.

Xiaomi 14 Civi is here to shake things up in the sub-Rs. 50,000 price segment. Its slim design, Leica camera prowess, solid performance credentials, and decent speakers make it a solid package worth considering in this price category. On the downside, the missing IP68 rating is a much-needed feature at this price point, and random app notifications from installed apps may sometimes bother you. Nevertheless, it's a noteworthy addition to the sub-Rs. 50,000 smartphone portfolio and is an excellent value proposition.
