The new Aqua series smartphone from Intex is now listed on the company's site without any details about availability.
The new Intex Aqua Slice, much like other recently launched Intex smartphones, runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS out-of-the-box. It comes with dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) support. The smartphone features a 4.5-inch (480x854 pixels) FWVGA IPS LCD display.
It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core (unspecified chipset) processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. The Intex Aqua Slice comes with 8GB of inbuilt storage, which is further expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB). It sports an 8-megapixel rear autofocus camera with LED flash, while there is a secondary 5-megapixel front-facing camera also onboard. The rear camera features multi-angle view, Panorama, face beauty, Smile Shot, face detection, HDR, auto scene detection, self timer, tap to capture, and voice capture options.
On the connectivity front, the Aqua Slice offers 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth options. The smartphone packs a 1650mAh battery, which according to the official listing is rated to deliver up to 7 hours of talk-time and up to 220 hours of standby time. It measures 134x65x8.2mm and is listed in Black and White colours.
Intex on Monday launched the Android 4.4.2 KitKat-based smartphone, the Aqua Y2 Pro, at Rs. 4,333. The dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) Intex Aqua Y2 Pro features a 4.5-inch FWVGA (480x854 pixels) display. It packs a 1GHz dual-core MediaTek MT6572 processor coupled with 512MB of RAM. The Aqua Y2 Pro sports a 5-megapixel primary camera with LED flash and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera. The 4GB of built-in storage can be expanded via microSD card (up to 32GB).
The company recently launched 3 new Aqua-series smartphones for the Indian market - the Aqua Star, Aqua Star HD and Aqua Star Power. The Intex Aqua Star is priced at Rs. 6,990, the Intex Aqua Star HD at Rs. 8,690, and the Aqua Star Power at Rs. 7,490.
