When Google acquired Motorola in May 2012 for $12.5 billion, it was expected that the Internet giant will 'Googlify' the company and mark its stamp. However, the Google refrained from making any major changes in Motorola Mobility at the time.

Things now seem to be changing as we are seeing signs of Motorola now getting into metamorphosis mode. Under this plan, Motorola has now revamped its logo. This change was first spotted by folks at The Verge. This new logo was seen plastered on the website of Techweek, a technology conference taking place in US that Motorola is co-sponsoring.

The traditional "M" that is associated in Motorola logo will remain but it will now be enclosed in a colourful circle. The colours in the circle will include vibrant colours such as Pink, Purple, Indigo, Blue, Green and Orange. The earlier logo had this M inside a bright red-coloured circle.

Just below the colourful "M" circle, the logo has 'motorola' (all lower case) written followed by the tagline "a Google company". The past logo had Motorola written in all caps with Bold and Italics.

There have been news reports suggesting that Motorola is planning to launch a smartphone dubbed 'Moto X' soon. CEO Dennis Woodside had confirmed at last month's AllThingsD conference that work on the smartphone was well underway.

The purported pictures and leaked speculations of this Moto X smartphone have been circulating for a while now. As per a recent leak by twitter user @evleaks this smartphone will pack in 1.7GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro MSM8960 processor along with 2GB of RAM. The smartphone is expected to come with a 720p resolution display and 16GB of internal storage. The leaks also indicate that the alleged Moto X smartphone will come with a 10-megapixel rear shooter and a 2-megapixel front facing camera. It is expected to run Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean).
