OnePlus ahead of the imminent launch of the One smartphone in India, on Saturday announced its warranty coverage system and after-sales service would be applicable in the country for handsets already purchased from the Oneplus website.

The announcement about the OnePlus One warranty coverage system is meant to reassure those Indian users who bought the global version of the OnePlus One handset from the Oneplus.net website, and will be able to avail after-sales services locally.

"Since we will have local representation, Indian customers who have already bought the global version of the One from our official site, oneplus.net, can have their product serviced in India," confirmed the recently hired General Manager of OnePlus operations in India, Vikas Agarwal, in a company blog post.

Gizchina however notes that Chinese variants of the OnePlus One handsets procured by users will not fall under the Indian warranty coverage.

OnePlus will be opening its second global pre-order window for the One smartphone on Monday for just one hour - the same as the first OnePlus One pre-order window on October 27. The pre-order process will begin at 16:00 GMT (8am PST, 11am EST, 9:30pm IST).

Users can also prepare their pre-order from the company pre-order page in advance. The firm says it has enabled more servers to execute the process smoothly, unlike the last time when users faced a number of glitches.

As for India, OnePlus will introduce an India-specific invite system for those looking to order the OnePlus One smartphone in the country. The firm added that Indians will have enough chances to earn invites, either through the forum or through its social media channels.

While the exact India release date for the OnePlus One smartphone has not been confirmed yet, the Director of OnePlus Global, had earlier this month confirmed that the 64GB variant of the OnePlus One smartphone would cost under Rs. 25,000 in India.
