The latest Google Doodle celebrates American author Mark Twain's 176th birth anniversary with a depiction of a famous scene from Twain's best known novel, The Adventures Of Tom Sawyer.
In the book, Tom is set to whitewashing a fence as a punishment by his aunt, but gets out of it by roping in a bunch of other boys to finish the job. The Doodle shows them hard at work painting the fence with the Google logo.
Mark Twain, who's real name was Samuel Clemens, was beloved for his stories about the American way of life, told through child heroes Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn.
