Bug in Tally's new licensing system causes trouble

It seems that the leap year hasn't been so kind to the software giant Tally. Users reported that all of a sudden, their license keys were de-authorized on February 29th, 2012.

Tally has reached out to its customers, explaining that due to a recent change in license validation methodology, the existing customers experienced a temporary de-authorization of their accounts.

Tally was quick to offer a work-around in the form of the date-change-trick, where the users were requested to forward their clocks to March 1 and then re-authorize their copies of Tally in order to get it working. Tally also issued a new version of the installer that users can download from the company's server, which would fix the issue.
