Apple at its iPhone 11 launch event launched a new iPad model — the iPad (10.2-inch). Powered by the Apple A10 Fusion SoC, the new iPad features a 10.2-inch Retina display. The new Apple tablet is made with 100 percent recycled aluminium and features a Smart Connector for the Smart Keyboard, as well as support for the first-generation Apple Pencil. The iPad 10.2-inch will go up for pre-orders from today itself in the US, and will start shipping later this month. Apple also revealed the iPad (10.2-inch) price in India, though availability details are uncertain for now.

The Wi-Fi + Cellular model starts at Rs. 40,900 for the 32GB variant, while the 128GB Wi-Fi + Cellular model is priced at Rs. 48,900. The company has said that the new iPad will go up for orders today in the US and 25 other countries and regions. It has not detailed which countries these are. It will start shipping and go on sale from September 30.
In the US, the new iPad from has been priced starting at $329 (roughly Rs. 23,600) for its base Wi-Fi only model, while the Wi-Fi + Cellular base model is priced at $459 (roughly Rs. 33,000). For education users, Apple is offering the new iPad at $299 (roughly Rs. 21,500).
The iPad (2019) runs iPadOS, and sports a 10.2-inch Retina IPS display with a resolution of 2160x1620 pixels, a pixel density of 264ppi, and a 500-nit peak brightness. The iPad also supports the Apple Pencil (first generation). It is powered by the Apple A10 Fusion SoC, alongside the M10 coprocessor. It will be available in two storage options — 32GB and 128GB. It features an 8-megapixel rear camera with an f/2.4 aperture. On the front, it bears 1.2-megapixel camera with an f/.2 aperture.
Connectivity options on the iPad (2019) include Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Bluetooth v4.0, with the Wi-Fi + Celluar model also gaining GPS and LTE connectivity, as well as Wi-Fi calling, thanks to its Nano-SIM card slot and eSIM tech. It features stereo speakers and dual microphones.
The iPad (2019) features a Touch ID fingerprint sensor on the bottom bezel, a three-axis gyroscope, an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and a barometer. There is also a digital compass on board. It is powered by a 32Whr battery rated to deliver up to 10 hours of Web surfing time on Wi-Fi, and 9 hours on a cellular network.
The iPad (2019) measures 250.6x174.1x7.5mm and weighs 483 grams for the Wi-Fi only model and 493 grams for the Wi-Fi + Cellular model.
