It's been just a day since we saw Microsoft's first official commercial for its Windows 8 OS as part of the company's marketing campaign. Now the software giant has released another commercial for its highly anticipated Surface tablet, also a first-of-its-kind.

Dubbed as 'The Surface Movement', the enthusiastic 1 minute TV spot highlights the device's magnetic and easily detachable keyboard that also comes with a kickstand. It features various dancers displaying movements and acrobatic skills to the click sound of the keyboard and the kickstand. The ad ends with the product name reminding users to "click in at microsoft.com" on 10/26.

The Surface tablet was initially announced by Microsoft at an event in June. There are two versions of the tablet. While one runs on Windows RT with an ARM-based processor, the other will feature Windows 8 Pro.

The Surface sports a 10.6-inch screen and comes in an aspect ratio of 16:9, which is well suited for widescreen viewing. The new family of computing devices, as Microsoft calls it, is directly competing against Apple's iPad and other lightweight hybrids.

Both devices include ultra-thin covers that double up as a keyboard and will be available in a range of colours as well. The Pro version also comes with a stylus that snaps on magnetically to the side of the tablet and allows users to jot down notes.

This is Microsoft's first attempt at a tablet. While Acer has tagged Microsoft's new idea as "think twice" to venture into the tablet arena, reports have already hinted at a Surface 2 already in the making. But for now, we'd like to stick to the schedule and let Microsoft do the talking on October 26 as it begins the sale of its Surface tablets alongside the Windows 8 launch.
