Surface Pro 3 is becoming a trouble-maker for Microsoft as users are facing battery issues with the tablet yet again. Last month, the company rolled out an update and claimed that it solved the battery issue where the battery was being misreported to the operating system and device firmware and as a result, the device was not being able to charge up to its full capacity. This issue was plaguing the tablet users for months. Now, some users are complaining that a new type of battery issue has cropped up with the tablet.

According to the user complaints on Microsoft's official forum, some Surface Pro 3 tablets shut down in a matter of seconds after being unplugged from charging. As per a user complaint, the issue has existed since the Windows 10 Anniversary Update. In the complaint message, the user said that the tablet, when plugged in for charging "always said 82%, Plugged in, Not Charging, and would always instantly turn off once I pulled off the power supply tab."

Even though Microsoft has not replied by making a public statement about the issue, one of the users has received a reply from the Redmond-based company that says, "That's definitely a different problem from what we saw with the Simplo batteries. I'll send it back up to the engineering team."

It will be interesting to see how long Microsoft will take before it addresses the issue as its update for the previous battery issue was delayed for quite some time before it actually rolled out.
